Whampoa Food Adventure: Off-The-EATEN-Path


Ready to eat like a local? With that, we will whisk you away from the main tourist hot spots (ahem, Mong Kok) and take you to a neighbourhood that no tourist has gone before for an off-the-beaten path experience. Basically, we’re going to places you can’t find on Google.

In this quaint, charming and grassroots residential part of town where old Hong Kong occupations and shops are still in existence, you’ll be able to explore a neighbourhood full of local flair and authenticity. We’ll be deconstructing Cantonese cuisine into its 5 main flavours – bitter, salty, spicy, sour and sweet – and in turn, each food tasting stop will be focused on one particular flavour. Don’t worry, we start with bitter and end with sweet =)

Good to know

We will go to 6 different tasting locations and sample over 10 different local eats. The locations are varied from hole-in-the-walls, to street vendors, to seat-down restaurants for a true local experience. Food as per itinerary is provided. Extra and/or additional food can be purchased. 

A bottle of water is provided.
